DAY4

Oh yes, construction has started. FEELING GOOD

At last, four days in and I can start building. Actually, today was quite tough (this seems to be a theme). I de-constructed the old shed, to make use of the cladding. I am trying to recycle as much material as possible. So far, the only expenditure has been on wood preserver and beer.....admittedly not a great combo!

It all seemed so much easier in my head, I hadn't counted on the pain-staking tediousness of removing nails and wrenching cladding from the old frame....shows how naive I was. I am now older and wiser, and full of splinters.

Had a change of plan today, with regards the footprint of our cabin (maybe too grand, maybe it's a hut). I decided upon a 3 and a bit base, as oppose to a four pallet config (shown in previous photos). While this provides a little less internal space, it does fit the cleared plot better. It seems I measured wrong - another one of my weak areas. I could never be a baker.

Feeling good today

Recycling old shed
New cladding
So many nails
