Highs & Lows!

 

Today has been a mixture of highs and lows. The high point being the completion of the side walls and cladding. Really feels like I am making progress....but you know how it goes...don't count your chickens or something like that.

 

I thought I would start 'lightly sanding' the door, to remove the old paint etc etc, then give it a coating of wood hardener to prevent any rot. However, as you can see from the photo, the door was a bit further decayed than I had hoped and a rather big hole developed. I would love to say that was the worst of it, but unfortunately the whole bottom of the door broke away. I didn't take any photos because if I am honest I had a bit of a melt down.

 

I decided to then focus on my reclaimed window to cheer me up, which I am very pleased with.
