DAY9

Home straight!

As you can probably tell I have become absorbed with finishing the project and as a consequence my photos have become more of a 'retrospective' look back, as oppose to a narrative 'here and now'. However, numerous pictures of me pulling nails from boards and then screwing them to the cabin is pretty dull.

I have now started adding some finishing touches to the cabin - starting with the initials of our family. You will note that my initial (N) is the smallest.

The interior has also had some 'TLC' with the installation of some (surprise, surprise) pallet cladding. This was quite fun actually, as my lovely wife helped with the cutting (first go with power tools) and I screwed...please no smut. Only about another 250 boards to go.

It is now about time I should mention the big omission from this project - THE ROOF. I havent actually decided upon the final design yet. It is either solid chipboard with roof felt (cheap) or clear polycarbonate (pricey). I really ought to decide, but for some reason it scares me. We will see.
